Change and rekey the locks
Most buyers are aware of this after buying their new home. However a lot of first time home buyers don’t do it, because they think they will save the money.

Start a home maintenance list
Becoming a homeowner comes with a ton of responsibilities and tasks. Regardless if a buyer is planning on completing the maintenance themselves or not. Making sure you hire the right person for the job is essential.

Whether the home maintenance list is one piece of paper or on detailed spreadsheet, it is very important that you start the planning process after moving in. By keeping up on maintenance, buyers can greatly reduce the number of huge repairs and not to mention the stress relief that comes with it.
Update important people and companies of your move
